WHO I AM (revised)

Hi and welcome!

I am May. I was born in a small town Serang - Banten on May 6, 1996. The last child of four siblings. I am an English Literature student in Binus University. I am out-going, needy, sentimental, curious, lazy and young. Every year I learn more about myself. What I love to do and what I want for my future. I want to try a lot of things out of my comfort zone. Starting with learning about music back then when I was in junior until senior high school. I used to take piano course for less than three months and drum course less than a half year. Since then I have never practiced again. Maybe I have forgotten how to play both instruments. I am this “easily get excited about things but also easily get bored about what I am doing” kind of person; it leads me to a person who is not wholehearted in doing something. My family members are actually good with music. My parents are a member of a choir group at church and both of them know how to play guitar. My brother named Nicho is like a master of music he played some instruments like drums, guitar, bass and piano but really bad at singing. My sister named Laura, she has a beautiful voice with a little bit experience in entertainment. Here I am still trying to explore more about myself. Other than that, I thank God for this family even though my second brother (beloved brother Leo!) is not with us anymore. He lived happily up there in heaven.

In 2013 I actually have been in one of the best university in Indonesia known as Bogor Agricultural Institute. I only lasted three months because I did not put my heart there yet I am a spoiled child and went to college in a new place without my parents, then I became a person who cannot socialize with people especially with my classmates and it causes trouble in my college life. So, I decided to quit. Yes, a tough year where I have made my parents disappointed. There is no one to blame but myself. Through the year of my break I always seeking for support from my close friends and family. Now I am still in the process of self-improvement to be the best version of me.

I am not good in expressing what is in my mind into words or writing. By creating this blog, beside to fulfill my assignment for "Imagining Me" course, I also hope that I will continue to share stories on this blog as a challenge, a self-exploration and certainly as a place where I keep a memory of my own life. I would love to share stories about my life, my love/hate relationships with family and friends, things I love such as music, fashion, and travel.
